Hey dev, am I allowed to hire a hit on Daniel to stop him showing up every 27 to 35 seconds with no less than 7 plates. Seriously, he needs to give me enough time to do something. I'm no coder but I do know a the basic concepts of it and how it works. If this isn't abandoned a simple if statement with a stop watch timer since Daniel's last visit and a variable that counts the current amount of plates on the counter should be enough,
If (# of remaining plates on counter is > 7 && stop watch time value is < 40 seconds)
Then reset and restart the random timer for next arrival
Again I don't really know but about coding and it might be more complicated than I realize but this should be a simple fix
15 minutes is really short, though I'm glad to hear that you liked it for longer than just 5 minutes
Outfits are easy to add but drawing is slow; there are a couple more I'm working on when I have time. More diversity is also a helpful idea, there's at least one obvious improvement now that you point it out.
I fucking hate that dish boy. He came in the last 30 seconds and screwed me bad. I feel like the last 30 seconds should be a safe time, otherwise you can end up losing it all and that sucks.
The last thirty seconds are already blocked off, but sometimes he can show up right before the cut-off point and make at impossible mess.
It sounds like you hate him more than intended. He's supposed to be annoying, but only enough to make it seem silly.
Ariel can't keep her clothes on, Daniel is constantly showing up at the worst time, the inspector shows up at the end going "what the hell is going on here... ?!" Probably not the funniest joke you've ever seen, but it's meant to be that Daniel is annoying and that's part of the humor.
I was going along with the joke swell before that incident. Everything was smooth sailing, he occasionally showed up and I smirked as I rolled my eyes, it was a good time.
But with that sense of easy joking, comes with a rubber band effect. When he came in and ruined my world, I felt it deeper because I was higher in delight. If that makes sense.
If you want to put it that way, yes. It went a bit too far.
A possible way to take a bit of the sting out of this game is to maybe give the player a bit more of a safety zone towards the end. If the last 30 seconds are indeed protected, then you could increase it a bit. Not to a full 60 seconds (or maybe you do), but like 35 to 45 seconds depending on how benevolent you feel like being. That way he can't totally ruin the fun.
I don't get it. You can't do anything. You wash dishes, you get points, they get taken away randomly before you can do anything with them? What the fuck is the point of this?
Is that not what happens? It looks like he takes all of your points every time he comes. After playing quite a few times, it does seem like you earn points faster as you go a long, but I don't know why. At this point I was guessing there is some sort of background system that gives you more points depending how many points you built up the last time he took all your points, but not sure. So far, I love the idea of the game & Daniel , but without knowing what is really happening to your points, it doesn't feel rewarding for the first few minutes of a round. Sorry for the long rant, I like the game & just want to give my thoughts on it & learn whats going on in game.
When Alicia washes a dish, the water in the sink gets dirtier. The next dish will wash slower.
When she refills the sink, she gets clean water and fresh soap.
At some point, she better clean the floor. That can take a lot of time.
Inspection
There is an inspection at the end of each round. The kitchen is rated based on how many dirty dishes are left, and how clean the floor is. Points are awarded based on how many dishes have been washed, and the quality of the final rating.
Use them or lose them!
You can use points to give Alicia a boost on the next round, or unlock an outfit change. You cannot save points for later.
the description literally tells you why you are loosing points
Long rant? That was really helpful info, especially because you explained why it felt unrewarding and frustrating at the beginning, and how the point display is confusing.
There's a new update today; I changed how the points work and made sure there is a summary at the end of each round. Thanks for the feedback!
No problem! Glad to be of any help! I just did a few rounds & it feels WAY better. It felt a little weird my first round since it didn't seem like you were losing anything from not moping the floor, but it made sense my second play through where I didn't mop until the last 25 seconds. Have to say, I love how the longer you wait to mop, the longer it takes to mop. It was so easy to understand & know what you should be doing. Another thing I noticed, Daniel isn't an almighty frustrating & confusing creature anymore. He is a lot more of a fun rng part of the game. He can still be a bit of a pain when he cancels you moping, but mostly I ended up hoping he would show up a lot at the start & then fewer later. Just a small idea for Daniel if you plan on adding more skins. You could make him more aggressive the less clothes you have. That way when someone starts the game he isn't that big of a deal, but as you keep wanting to unlock more skins & get more upgrades, you have to deal with him showing up more & maybe sometimes him sticking around longer. I was having a lot of trouble having him show up enough with enough dishes to get me past 20-25 points. Have higher costing skins that need you to play a round where he is more active could be a way to add a difficulty curve. Up to you. Great job on the game! Can't wait to see where you take it!
There's a bunch of good ideas here - I especially like the thought of having different outfits affect the difficulty and Daniel's behavior. It'll take a little longer to get to the next improvement, but I hope you'll check back as things progress..!
This is a 1 star waste of time! first off glitchy as hell half your points you don't even get, stupid guy steals all your progress but has to bring you more dishes that is stupid. clean the floor speed up cost for first gain is b/s and the boost is not even noticeable for the cost, keeping time and doing everything takes way to much effort for nothing progressing takes way to much rng randomness. No idea why the bus boy takes your points that is idiotic when keeping the floor clean and on task would be a better way to cause penalty -1 per every 10sec or something. I do not like the lack of anything adult either its at best mature not hentai if it improves with an update I will review again doubt it gets better though seriously.
Fun little game. Although I can't really get far. Every round all my upgrades disappear & often even if I have cleaned everything: every dish, the sink, & the floor, Daniel still takes all my points... Love the idea & enjoyed the game. I'll come back again to see how it play later on.
Daniel's timing is semi-random, but there are some rules to how he operates. Since I know how he works I usually come out ahead, though it's rare (on purpose) to get a perfect game.
It would be good to strike a balance between some luck, discovery, and strategy. It'll probably take a few rounds of feedback to make that happen. Looks like "more strategy, less luck" should be the next step!
Thanks for having a look!
Was it hard to get at least 10 points the first round?

I just played a little bit. And even though it was only the first round of the first outfit, I can already feel the difference and I like it.
Now the only thing left to do is cosmetics. Like maybe she can go completely naked, no top or bottom.
I never told anyone she was going to get naked. How did you figure out my secret plan?!

Looks like you really did not like the way Daniel would get harder every time you got more points, and you figured out how to reverse it.
The hit you called in did not kill Daniel, but he tried to make some reforms with the new version.
Thank you
good game, just really short, takes about 15 mins to finish, needs more outfits, and potentially more diversity and events the more you play

its an enjoyable short game, just needs some replay ability

You're annoyed because the point system makes it look like you lose all your progress whenever Daniel shows up.

Annoying if he takes *all* your points right before the end! I'll add some tweaks, thanks for the tip.
Daniel comes way to commonly right before the end and steals literally all of your points meaning you just wasted 5 mins
that being said, love the concept cant wait for it to be improved on
Yeah - right now he's annoying like that.
Daniel's timing is semi-random, but there are some rules to how he operates. Since I know how he works I usually come out ahead, though it's rare (on purpose) to get a perfect game.

my first 2 rounds i left with 0, but i managed to get 23 on the third, but with the lack of new skins to work towards i finished shortly after that
Yeah - it's going to need more skins.
